ERSEA
ERSEA stands for the Eligibility, Recruitment, Selection, Enrollment, and Attendance of children in early childhood education programs. Programmatic recruitment efforts, community outreach and program advocacy all stem from ERSEA. One of the most important functions of ERSEA is the determination of eligibility for program services. ERSEA governs how programs select and enroll children into their program, monitors compliance with attendance and is one of the most important tasks to be performed in successful Head Start and Early Head Start programs.

Family Engagement
Family engagement is a collaborative and strengths-based process through which early childhood professionals, families, and children build positive and goal-oriented relationships with parents being first educator for their children. It requires making a commitment to creating and sustaining an ongoing partnership that supports family well-being, while removing barriers of economic self-sufficiency.
